Online Database Expert

I am new to Ninox - trying to move from Access on PC. I am not clear how to open the downloaded files. Do I upload them back somewhere - I have a trial Ninox account I am evaluating Ninox vs TeamDesk. I am a one man shop that focuses on VC and Deal process software, Private Equity, and Investor issues. Would this be a good software to create deal flows-similar to project planning just geared to PE terms etc.
